alembic

it moves your network data from the system that holds it to the one that needs it.

your dcim or ipam holds the truth about your network. alembic reads it, reshapes it into the model you want, and writes it back out to another system or to the fabric. you set the shape once. it runs the same way every time.

the flow between them
alembic is not another system to stand up. it is the connections between the ones you already run, which is why the same system is an input one day and an output the next.
how it works

alembic is data-model-first. you describe the model you want once, and the same four steps run every time.

describe
the shape your data takes as it moves. vendor-neutral, set once.
pull
read straight from the systems you already run.
map
reshape each source to fit the model, in one reviewable place.
apply
see the plan, then write it out. nothing changes by surprise.
open source, with a commercial layer
use it tomigrate between dcim/ipam systems, or feed your automation from inventory to fabric.
freethe model, the engine, and adapters for the main dcim/ipam systems.
paidconnectors that carry the same data onto the fabric and into ops. we license them and help you integrate.
licencesannual, priced by the connectors you need. from €6,000 / year.
integrationbilled at our published rates.
most initial deployments land between €10,000 and €20,000, including integration.
